Lago Vista Public Library

If you’re looking for a way to pass the cool, winter days, don’t forget to check out the library.  Not only do we have the latest bestsellers, audiobooks on CD, music CDs and movies on DVDs, we also have computers with access to the Internet and free Wi-Fi available to laptop users.
We are offering several special services and classes during February and March. Take advantage of these upcoming events that are free and open to the public:
AARP Tax Service – Wednesdays from Feb. 3 to April 14, 1-5 p.m.
Book club—Thursday, 10-11:30 a.m. Margy Butler will moderate a discussion of Barbara Kingsolver’s “The Lacuna.”
Writers workshop with editor Christine Lindblom—Friday, 2:30-4 p.m.
Arts and crafts group—Feb. 25 and March 12, 2-4 p.m.
Genealogy workshop—Laurie Mahaffey, deputy director, Central Texas Library Systems, Feb. 26, 1-3:30 p.m.
Introduction to digital photography—Trish Nedry and Stephen Spindler, March 26, 10 a.m. to noon.
One-on-one Computer, GED and ESL classes are also available.
Because space is limited for most events, reservations are recommended.  Call 512-267-3868 or email lvlibrary@austin.rr.com to hold your place.  You can find out more about these programs at www.lagovista.lib.tx.us or stop by the library to pick up a flyer.
