The North Shore 4H club officially begins serving the youth of Jonestown, Lago Vista and surrounding areas with a kick-off registration meeting Wednesday.
The fiscal year for 4H runs from Sept. 1 through Aug. 31 each year and members are allowed to register starting Aug. 1. The North Shore 4H will hold a meeting 7 p.m. Wednesday to answer any questions and to show members how to start registering. Plans will be made toward dates and location of monthly meetings for the 2010-11 4H fiscal year.
4H offers hundreds of different projects for children to undertake in order to learn by doing. Construction of pens has already begun for those interested in raising livestock for the county and state fairs.
